If you think you cannot write a poem try out one of our creative writing courses. Our workshops are a beginners’ guide to creative writing based on integrative poetry and bibliotherapy. Our courses help to awake and develop the creative potential that exists inside every person. During the course you will gain an insight into the creative process and you will learn the key elements of fiction and poetry writing.

Our Workshops take place once a month on Monday night or on Saturday morning. The course is designed for native speakers as well as for students who mastered German on a C2 level.

What level of German do I need if I want to work in Switzerland?

Level B2 in German is recommended if you want to work in Switzerland.

At which level can you switch from German to Swiss German?

We recommend at least a B1 level in High German before starting to learn Swiss German. A good basis in High German will make learning Swiss German extremely easy for you.

When can children go to childcare?

Children and toddlers from 6 months of age can attend our Childcare.

Is there a high failure rate in the telc exams?

In fact, 99 percent of our students pass the telc exam.

Do you offer telc and Goethe exams?

We offer both telc and Goethe exam preparation courses. As Wordculture is a licensed examination centre for telc examinations, you can take your telc examinations with us.

What is the difference between telc and Goethe?

Both certificates are equally recognized in Switzerland and worldwide. They are very similar in content. Telc focuses more on oral expression, while Goethe emphasizes on the written part.

Is there a discount if you book a lot of Skype lessons?

Yes, there are attractive price packages with the Skype lessons that we can offer you. There is also a daily happy hour from 2pm to 5pm. During this time, we also offer discounts on the lessons.

How many lessons does it take to complete a level in private lessons?

We recommend approx 25 lessons of 60 minutes each for levels A1 and A2, and an average of 30 lessons of 60 minutes each for levels B1-C2. Of course, this also depends on how much time you can invest in learning at home.

What is the advantage of a group course and what are the advantages of private lessons?

Our group courses take place on a fixed time schedule. In principle our courses are very interactive, giving you the opportunity to communicate a lot and get to know new people from all over the world. The private lessons can be designed flexibly, leaving it up to you to determine the time schedule that suits you best. The content of the program is also completely tailored according to your needs and your individual learning pace.

What is special about your group courses?

Our groups are very small, with 3-6 students only, and are thus very dynamic and interactive. Compared to other schools, you will have plenty of time to speak and practice. In addition, with us, you will be able to complete an entire language level in just 48 lessons.
