Our motto of learning by playing also applies to our new children’s leisure activities.  In a playful and child-friendly way, our art teacher Sahra introduces kids to art and artistic design. The children discover their creative potential and learn completely new ways of expression while drawing, painting or collaging. We also specifically promote fine motor skills, as a new technique is tried out every lesson.

Very important: There is no pressure to perform, each child is individually supervised in our small groups (max. 6 children) and accompanied in their very own creative process.

Our art teacher Sahra studied graphic design and art history and has many years of experience in teaching children of different age groups.

Important information about the course:

Using the works of well-known artists* such as Louise Bourgois, Klee, Kandinskij or Nikki de Saint Phalle, children learn about the lives of these artists and how to work with different materials and techniques.

Each lesson is dedicated to one artist. Sahra introduces their lives and give the children an insight into their work showing them their paintings. Afterwards, the little artists work on their own work of art.

In this way, the classes are varied: we work with acrylic, watercolour, pencil and coloured pencils, we make collages, we model with Fimo paste and make sculptures out of recycled materials and paper. You don’t need to bring anything, the children receive all materials at school.

Course days: Tuesday or Friday
Course times: 14:00 -15:30 (age group 4-6)
Course times: 15:30-17:00 (age group 7-12)
Number of lessons: 12 lessons à 90min.
Course price: 630 CHF plus 70 CHF materials

The courses are held either in German or French, so that the children also improve their vocabulary in this field and get more confident in the active use of language among their peers.
