I think it’s great that Wordculture is expanding the children’s program. My daughter is learning French here with enthusiasm, even though she had big problems with the language at the beginning. We will certainly try other courses at Wordculture!

In collaboration with Little Scientists, we offer science-themed activities for kids from the age of 4.
Our courses are based on the philosophy of educating kids in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through structured learning skills using LEGO education sets, the Scratch and Scratch Jr programming languages and engaging scientific experiments.
Our projects are fun and exciting, allowing children to explore the subjects in innovative and inventive ways outside the curriculum. We encourage the children to think creatively, reason systematically and realise their potential to shape their own future and promote participatory engagement.
Of course we stay true to our concept: we teach in small groups of 4 to a maximum of 6 children to ensure a good learning atmosphere. Besides that, all the instructors are either experienced scientists or Masters level university students in STEM or Computer Science subjects.

Important information about our science lab for kids:
Our course program is varied! In our science lab, we offer a mixed curriculum. The course is made of 12 sessions, divided into three main sections. The content of each lesson package will be organised as follows:
- 4 lessons on Lego Robotics
- 4 lessons on Coding
- 4 lessons on STEM activities
The children take their first steps in technology and science in a playful and age-appropriate way.
All parts of the course are linked by an overarching theme: outer space. They will learn everything about space, rockets and the Solar System.
On day 1 each kid will receive the “Scientist’s notebook”, a customizable printed notebook to keep track of the learning progress. This notebook helps the kid staying focused on learning and provides the teachers with an useful insight on the kid’s capabilities and needs. In addition, all materials are provided by us and Little Scientist. You don’t have to worry about anything, just drop by and let’s get started!

Course times: 2-3 pm (age group: 4-6)

Course price: 420 CHF plus 60 CHF materials
Course times: 3:15-4:45 pm (age group: 7-10)
Number of lessons: 12 lessons à 90min.
Course price: 630 CHF plus 60 CHF materials
The courses are held either in German or English, so that the children also improve their vocabulary in this special field and get more confident in the active use of language among their peers.
