In our B1 language courses you will deepen what you have learned so far, expand your vocabulary and become familiar with more difficult topics. You will learn to talk about experiences and events, to speak fluently about familiar topics and to understand simple texts.

English is held to be the number 1 language in the world. Whether in a professional, academic or private context, a good working knowledge of the English language is essential! Especially in such an international city as Zürich.Join us as we explore the diversity and complexity of this fascinating language.
Whether it is business English, the use of phrasal verbs and idioms, or academic writing, if you would like to improve tour English, there is no better choice than Wordculture!
Our small class size (3-6 students) will give you every opportunity to speak and practice the language as much as possible. The support of our experienced teachers will help you quickly reach your language goals.
We offer English courses for all levels: A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2 and at the end of your course you will be able to take a certificate test such as Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL and Telc.
We offer our courses throughout the day – mornings, midday, afternoons, and we can offer you the flexibility of studying at our centrally located school, in the comfort of your own home, or at your workplace.
An advantage for all parents is that we can offer our Childcare-service (until 5pm) which runs in parallel with our language courses. While you learn, our childcare specialists will look after your little ones. (12.50 CHF/60min).
B1
At the B1 level you can slowly understand more complex themes, read texts and discuss. The vocabulary is more specialised and consequently revised and broadened. You can report experiences and events. Also you can speak more confidently on familiar topics. You are able to understand the essential points in the context of an everyday situation, conversation or text.We offer B1 courses for all languages and at a time to best suit you: morning, lunchtime, afternoon or evening. We can offer you the flexibility of studying at our centrally located school, in the comfort of your own home, or at your workplace.
Depending on the intensity of the course it can take between 1 and 6 months to complete an entire level. At the end of a course you can sit the relevant exam for your chosen language.
The B1 courses are designed for adults, students or children, who would like to further improve their understanding and use of a language.
