fide stands for “Français, Italiano, Deutsch in Switzerland” and refers to the Swiss program promoting linguistic integration.
We are accredited by the fide office as a testing institution and can offer the fide-test at GER levels A1 to B1. The fide-test, developed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), consists of an oral part (“Speaking and Understanding”) and a written part (“Reading and Writing”). You can choose to take both parts on the same day or just one.
Test Procedure:
You start with the oral part: Speaking and Understanding. After that (possibly at a later time), the written part follows. The oral part lasts 40 minutes, and the written part lasts 60 minutes.
The oral part starts at 12 noon, and the exact times will be communicated upon final registration.
You can reschedule or cancel your test date up to 16 days in advance and receive a refund of the amount already paid (excluding a CHF 30 handling fee).
You will receive your test results and language pass approximately 4 weeks after the test, mailed directly to your home.
The fide test takes place every Monday at our premises at Selnaustrasse 2, 8001 Zurich.
